I have unfortunate news to share today. Kooma, otherwise known as Koomabear, passed away this morning. Kooma used to go by the name Zareth, a name that older SCG members may recognize. Kooma was one of our original admins, carried over from when the TF2 servers were part of the Baby Fur Gamers (BFG) community. They were one of the most caring and influential admins we had, and one of many inspiring factors that led us to relaunching as a broader community. While they moved away from TF2 and an admin role as time went on, we have remained friends over the years, and they have occasionally popped back in to play with us. I am devastated by their sudden passing, it was only a couple weeks ago that we last spoke to each other about our excitement for Kingdom Hearts 4. Their passing serves as a reminder that each and every one of our lives is precious and finite, and we should take any opportunities we have to share our love with those closest to us. No one ever wants to consider that someday someone you know will be gone, but we should instead focus on what we have now. I have ended posts with this many times, but it always remains true. I love you all dearly, lurker or not, you are all important and precious to me.
